Lesedi Shubane (she/her) works in service of a more just world, collaborating with artists, storytellers, organizations and institutions on projects that imagine such a place is possible. Most recently, she was an impact producer at Participant Media in Los Angeles, where she designed and executed award winning social impact campaigns alongside Participant’s content. Prior to Participant, Lesedi managed Community Engagement for the Bushfire International Festival of the Arts and was selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for their inaugural GOLD Talent and Development Initiative class. Additionally, she was part of the 2021 cohort of Global Cultural Relations Programme, an initiative of the European Union. Lesedi completed her BFA at Ringling College of Art and Design as a UWC Davis Scholar, where she won the Emerging Service Leader Award. She grew up in South Africa and eSwatini.
